Jacob lamb fleece

2# Jacob lamb fleece sheared spring 2020. $20 plus shipping.

eweifarm@msn.com for shipping prices

Yes. She has some VM. Mostly surface. I  did not want to shake it out as I did not want to break up the fleece structure.

Samoyed Husky and Horned Dorset yarn

Cotton candy pink dyed Samoyed Husky and white Horned Dorset yarn. One ply of each. Would make an awesome shawl, or a hat and fingerless mitts.

5.9 oz. 416 yards, $55 plus shipping.

This yarn is spun fairly thinly, sport/fingering weight, but due to just reaching into the bag of dyed dog fur there is some texture in places.

Washed Mohair fleece

Washed, NOT scoured, Mohair fleece.

8 oz. for $10, 1# for $20, plus shipping. Email us at eweifarm @ msn.com with your zip code and the item(s) you are interested in.

I generally wash 3 (or more) fleeces at a time in hot water and Unicorn Power Scour. Because of this the tips will not be completely white. But, I used a hard hair comb and they did open up nicely. I may rewash the locks again with hot water, and maybe some Dawn, to get them white from tip to cut, if I have time. I do hope to wash some lock bundles for Santa beards or doll's hair soon.

Some of the fleece is a little felted, but it pulls apart easily enough by hand. I did try to disturb the lock structure as little as possible when I pulled the fleece apart to weigh and bag.

You can see here what the majority of the locks look like pulled from the fleece, and what it looked like combed. The fluff to the right of the combing (hard hair comb. No special tools required!) is what came out of that lock piece. It is clean enough to use for needle felting, or doll stuffing, or what ever else you can think of.

Roving

I've reopened my Etsy shop to sell our roving, and maybe more in the future.

Romney lamb/kid Mohair roving processed by Sallie's Fen Fiber Mill in Barrington, NH. It appears to have scurf/dandruff in the roving, but there is none in the finished yarn. So, we do not know what it is/was. It is extremely soft, but should make a fairly strong yarn due to the Mohair. We have 2 oz. bundles for $7 and 4 oz. bundles for $14, plus shipping.

All roving was processed by Sallie's Fen Fiber Mill unless otherwise noted.

White Alpaca (100%) 2 oz. for $8, 4 oz. for $16, plus shipping

Black Alpaca 4 oz. $16 plus shippin. Only 1 available.

53% Wool/47% Alpaca Pure Black 2 oz. for $6, 4 oz. for $12 plus shipping

53% Wool/47% Alpaca Pure White 2 oz. for $6, 4 oz. for $12 plus shipping

Lambing is happening in full force

In between trying to get my 1/2 to 2/3's of the barn cleaned (pitch fork and wheel barrow then dumped in tractor bucket at the end of the hall) and lambs being born, I have been a little busy. And, I am teaching beginning adult spinning on Saturday mornings. I have been working on fleeces to put up here for sale, but nothing has been photographed yet.
Please bear with me. I hope to get back to it soon. I have a LOT of adult fleeces discounted to $10 a bag and lamb fleeces for $20 a bag. I need to sell as many as possible as we will be shearing our own soon and I need the room.
I've got another ewe in labor for the 3rd time in 12 hours. Going to be a LONG night.
