Happy 2021

Let's hope that 2021 is much better than 2020!!

I've been pretty well silent on my blogs for a while as I am going through a major decluttering of the farm yard, and the house. I've pulled out the 9 drum super carder that we bought almost 10 years ago out of its protected spot. I spent the last two days cleaning and oiling it. Unfortunately it had moth casings in the carding cloth from fiber that had been left on it from its previous owner. In the next few days (weeks?), I will run some sacrificial roving through it to ensure that all of the crap has been removed. That roving will then become dryer balls, provided there is not disgusting in it. If there is, it will become mulch for next years plants. 𝨾𝨾𝨾

I hope to update this blog with the roving blends that Sallie's Fen Fiber Mill here in NH, and Zeilinger Wool Company in MI, have made for us. I tried to run an Etsy shop, but with all of their fees I almost gave away what few things I sold. Instead of increasing my prices in order to make any money, I am just going to go back to my original way of selling online. Come back often to see what we have available.

I will be going through and taking inventory, and pictures, of the fleeces we have available from last year's shearing. Most of the adult fleeces will be $10 per bag plus shipping and lamb fleeces $20 per bag plus shipping, with a few exceptions. We will start shearing here again in another month and I need to make room!!

If you'd like to visit the farm next month while we are shearing and pick your fleece before shearing, drop us an email at eweifarm@msn.com. Or if you want to go through last year's fleeces in person, and save your shipping costs, let us know!! I know longer go very far off the farm!
